Tasks:

-Help implements developmentally appropriate curriculum in a fun and engaging way. 

\n

- Assist with snack preparation

\n

- Set up developmentally appropriate curriculum 

\n

- Handle discipline in the age-appropriate way.

\n

- Help set up craft and art activities for the children. 

\n

- Supervise playground

\n

- Instruct a large group lesson for ages 2- 5 years of age

\n

- Help with facility needs

\n

- Help with special events

\n

- Set up playground to meet all needs of the children

\n

- light cleaning

\n

- help set up learning centers through play

\n

\n

Training:

- Weekly one on one mentor meetings
- Training literature
-handbook overview
-General orientation

Learning Outcomes:

\n

By the end of the academic internships, the student will be able to
. Understand the developmentally appropriate ways to teach children at each age group.
. Create a warm inviting classroom environment.
. Understand the title 22 requirements.
