Beyond Fifteen Communications Inc. actively hires undergraduate students year-round for unpaid internships to earn school credit. As a Beyond Fifteen intern, you'll gain agency experience and exposure to all facets of media relations and social media campaigns. We're committed to offering real experience that will provide a solid foundation for your career in public relations.
Beyond Fifteen Intern Requirements:
- Undergraduate majoring in communications, public relations, marketing or journalism; currently in or entering their junior or senior year.
- Must commit to a minimum of 8 hours/week schedule.
- Strong work ethic and motivation to learn.
- Deadline oriented, highly organized, nimble, fast learner.
- Reliable, honest, punctual.
- Solid writing and communication skills.
- Self-starter and hard worker who can thrive in a team setting.
- Someone who will follow through on tasks given, and isn't afraid to ask questions.
Internship Responsibilities and Tasks Include but are not Limited to:
- Media list building.
- Research projects.
- Media pitching.
- Content development (media pitches, press releases, social media copy, etc.)
- Social media management.
- Support client reporting.
- Overall team support.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the program, Beyond Fifteen interns should be proficient users of multiple agency-standard technologies – including media database programs, social media tracking software and others. The intern should also feel comfortable with basic media relations tactics and account management principles. He/she will be well-versed in the various strategies employed by the agency including the types of press materials deployed with insight about how and why they are used, how social media serves clients in the B2B vs. B2C space and what types of content and engagement strategies work for each audience type, and best practices in client management and reporting. Intern should also leave the engagement with writing samples that will support future endeavors and media clippings showcasing their early pitching successes.
