1. Project Engineer interns are not expected to operate any dangerous equipment. They do support and make frequent visits to construction sites where they may be exposed to active construction operations. Types of mobile equipment such as forklifts, trucks, and excavation equipment, are typically used on these projects. 2. Interns complete Helix Electric’s onboarding and site-specific safety orientation to learn about potential hazards and how to work safely around them. 3. Helix Electric’s safety programs are regularly recognized as industry-leading and exceed all industry and regulatory standards. 4. While on site, interns must wear required PPE, including boots, safety glasses, hard hats or helmets, gloves, and high-visibility clothing. Additional PPE may be required depending on tasks or locations. 5. PE interns are supervised by experienced team members and actively participate in hazard analysis processes to stay aware of on-site risks.
