Marketing/Public Relations Intern Summer 2025At — Extraordinary Pictures

Opportunity Summary 

The intern will be assisting the Extraordinary Pictures team on various projects currently in development and pre-production. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Beyond the Moonlight, a horror short slated for production in June 2025

  • Hair Flip, an upcoming family fantastical drama feature film, currently in talks with Rita Moreno

  • Inner Child, a psychological horror feature film exploring the aftermath of trauma and recovery, set to film in spring 2025.
    We are excited to share that horror genre talent such as Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Terrifier 2), Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie's Halloween I & II), John Karna (Scream TV Show), Hannah Fierman (VHS), James Duval (Donnie Darko), and Johnathon Schaech (Blueridge) have shown interest in the project.

Our director, screenwriter, and one of the producers—Natalie Rodriguez, a proud Titan alum (CSUF Class of 2014)—returns to collaborate with CSUF! Join the Extraordinary Pictures team for this exciting remote internship opportunity.

Position Overview:

The Extraordinary Pictures team is seeking a tech-savvy, marketing and public relations intern who can assist with the following (but not limited to):

  • Creating and building a press research list of bloggers, vloggers, influencers, and media outlets

  • Assisting in sending outreach emails under producer supervision

  • Supporting social media promotion efforts

  • Sitting in on select pre-production meetings with the director and producers to take notes

  • (Optional) Creating social media graphics and video content

Preferred Experience:

  • Background or coursework in marketing, public relations, social media, film, or communications

  • Interest in feature film production and/or careers in agency, publicity, or management

Intern Responsibilities:

  • Research and compile press lists (bloggers, vloggers, influencers)

  • Monitor and respond to outreach emails professionally and promptly

  • Support social media and potential cold call outreach

  • Read scripts and provide script coverage or brief story notes when needed

  • Maintain clear communication with the Extraordinary Pictures team

  • Track hours and task progress on a shared Google Spreadsheet

Training & Support:

Interns will receive mentorship and hands-on experience working directly with the director and producers. The production team is flexible with scheduling, and all work will be conducted remotely via Zoom and Google Meet. There is also potential for a future on-set experience.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this internship, students will have:

  • Hands-on experience with marketing, PR, and development in independent film

  • Their first feature film credit

  • Experience providing script coverage

  • Consideration for future roles with the Extraordinary Pictures team

Location: Remote

All communication and collaboration will be conducted online. A shared Google Excel sheet will be used to track tasks and hours.
