Maritime Museum of San Diego
Organization Description
The mission of the Maritime Museum of San Diego includes the collection, preservation and interpretation of historic and replica vessels, artifacts, documents and photographs with particular significance for the history and culture of the Pacific. This mission has as its purpose the goal of showing the importance of the Pacific maritime world as a place of encounter between vibrant cultures. The museum also strives to encourage initiatives aimed at the conservation of the oceanic environment for present and future generations.
Health & Safety
On occasion interns may be required to handle materials contaminated with dust or mold; they may be required to carry items up to 25 lbs in weight.
