Counseling & Research Associates, dba Masada

Organization Description

Masada’s seven community clinics provide services including: Assessment; treatment planning; case management; Individual, group, and family therapy; medication support; caregiver support; social skill development; occupational therapy; substance use education and treatment. Our community based care meet clients at their homes, schools, or nearby community locations, where we deliver a comprehensive range of services. The intensity of services is tailored to each individual’s specific needs. We work with county-coordinated services, conducted in collaboration with county departments, may involve intensive, multidisciplinary assessments for children requiring out-of-home placement.

Health & Safety

Our offices meet the needs of a variety of populations in our communities. Many of our clients have comorbidities along with a behavioral health challenge. Depending on the interest & aptitude of the intern, some programs do have higher clinical acuity including being on probation/parole, auditory/visual hallucinations, etc. We screen clients for success and match them appropriately as best as possible based upon the information provided on the client. We provide trainings by program to ameliorate and do not assign clients with potential safety concerns.

Student interns must have health insurance, and give proof as a part of our onboarding process to our HR dept. Since they are not on our payroll system, they are not covered by our workman's compensation plan. They also need to turn in proof of active car insurance, as many interns are out in the field. We have interns in the office for their placement hours unless they are pre-approved to be out in the field. We also have at least one clinical supervisor on site in every office, & mandate they keep their agency calendar updated as to their whereabouts. This allows support for our interns should they have questions or need support.
