Corporate Accounting InternAt — AAA Auto Club Enterprises
Over the 10-week summer program, 20 interns will be placed at the California and Texas Administrative Offices with business units across the organization. Participants will receive growth and development that prepares them for the current and future workforce through:
The completion of the Strictly Business Curriculum (interns will receive a Roadways badge upon completion that can be added to their email signature and LinkedIn profile; interns who would like to seek academic credit must complete all necessary requirements from their university or college)
Weekly check-ins with the Roadways Program Manager and the other interns to discuss and reflect upon the previous week's learnings
Weekly Business Unit Buddy meetings
Operational and strategic insight through Career Perspectives sessions with senior leaders
Networking opportunities with executives and senior leaders
Team building and community impact events
Meaningful work experience with designated business unit
Tasks:
Review Financials and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Review Cost Study Allocations
Review and prepare journal entries
Various Accounting Tasks as assigned
Ad hoc projects
Review month end close and debrief
Narrative Reporting Templates Project
Training:
General employer orientation, weekly check-in's with internship Program Manager, Weekly Check-Ins with Reporting Manager, outlined responsibilities for duration of the program, Strictly Business Professional Development workshop.
Introduction to department and tasks, system training, shadow accountants to observe month-end close.
