Opportunity Summary 

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing educational support and guidance to students of various ages and academic levels.

Duties

- Educate and assist students in understanding subject-specific concepts

- Develop customized lesson plans to meet individual student needs

- Implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes

- Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a conducive learning environment

- Collaborate with students, parents, and teachers to track progress and address concerns

- Utilize creative teaching methods to engage students in the learning process

Requirements

- Experience working with students in an educational setting

- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas

- Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson planning

- Knowledge of classroom management techniques

- Background in adult education, preschool, or childcare is a plus

Training:

Employer orientation is given for policies and procedures for our company. A two week, hands-on training given on how to correct, teach, and adjust course curriculums. Followed by a one-month hands-off observation by trainer to verify if further training is needed or own classroom can be assigned. One-on-one meetings will be conducted by the director to ensure that policies are being followed and verifying if needs of the tutor is being met. Staff meetings will be given before the start of different educational seasons (i.e. summer school, fall enrollments, etc...)

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to identify educational needs for young students, communicate to young students effectively, aid children in overcoming certain challenges, and learn social norms for children through observation.
