Tutor Zone has been a place that has helped solidify skills for students for the past 15 years. We understand students may not want to go to tutoring. However, our innovative methods and our creative approach towards education make learning enjoyable. This is one place we assure parents their children will love coming to. Each individualized lesson breaks down concepts in step by step making sure students grasp the concept rather than just memorize the process.

Tutor Zone is currently looking for college students/graduates who would like to become a member of our innovative educational team. Each tutor works with our students on a one-on-one basis. The age and subject material of our students covers a wide range. Each instructor focuses on the subject area they feel most comfortable with, while given the opportunities to try new subjects and expand their skills.

Our instructors work part time and the start off pay is $17/hour. We are very flexible and accommodate to instructor’s school schedules.

We have a personal growth program called Grown with Tutor Zone. This program aims to empower our instructors by providing leadership roles, LEAD Instructors, and providing our team with mentorship that will not only guide them during their academic mentorship role but also catapult their professional career.

We also have opportunities to join certain teams such as our Marketing and Curriculum Team, which includes Video Editing, Blogging, and more!

Duties:

- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in various subjects based on applicant skills.

- Assist students with homework assignments, test preparation, and study skills development.

- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents or guardians through verbal communication, when applicable, as well as progress reports.

- Utilize effective teaching strategies and techniques to engage students and promote a positive learning environment.

- When needed, collaborate with teachers and parents to support student academic success.

Requirements:

- Currently seeking higher education

- Middle school level of math knowledge or higher

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different learners.

-Seeking Math or Science tutors (does not need to be both)

Tasks:

One-on-one instruction with students, this includes homework help or building on concepts
If students are late, to work on assigned projects from management. This varies between progress reports, curriculum, marketing and others
Submitting a schedule (provided)

Training:

Mandatory training - introduction into Tutor Zone, how our program works: online schedules, programs and policies. This is required to be completed within the first 2 weeks of start date.
Once scheduled - job shadowing, one-on-one sessions with students, meetings with a LEAD
