Opportunity Summary 

We are looking for accounting intern that is looking for experience in the field of accounting or paid position if you have 2 year experience in accounting field. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records for the company such as invoice, sales order, shipping labels, etc.
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare bank deposits
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including payment reminders and collections.
  • Prepare and process payroll, including tax payments and filing
  • Prepare financial statements and various reports such as sales report, RMA, SNR, SR, reports, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor inventory levels and prepare inventory reports
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Respond to financial inquiries from management and other departments

• Record financial transactions in a journal: This includes recording all sales, purchases, expenses, and other financial transactions in a journal.• Post journal entries to the general ledger: This involves transferring the journal entries to the general ledger, which is a record of all financial transactions by account.• Prepare financial statements: This includes preparing the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows, which provide a summary of the business's financial performance.• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements: This involves comparing the business's bank statements and credit card statements to its accounting records to ensure that they are accurate.• Process payroll: This includes calculating employee paychecks and taxes, and preparing payroll reports.• Prepare and file tax returns: This includes preparing and filing the business's income tax returns, as well as any other required tax returns.• Assist with audits: This includes providing documentation and answering questions from auditors.• Provide administrative support to the accounting department: This may include tasks such as answering phones, filing paperwork, and scheduling appointments.

Training:

Accounting internships typically provide training on the following topics:• Introduction to accounting: This includes the basics of accounting, such as the accounting cycle, financial statements, and journalizing and posting.• Financial statements: Interns learn how to prepare and analyze financial statements, such as the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows.• Journalizing and posting: Interns learn how to record accounting transactions in a journal and post them to the general ledger.• Adjusting entries: Interns learn how to make adjusting entries to ensure that financial statements are accurate and reliable.• Closing entries: Interns learn how to close the accounting cycle at the end of a period.• Financial statement analysis: Interns learn how to analyze financial statements to identify trends and patterns, and make informed business decisions.• Tax accounting: Interns learn about the basics of tax accounting, such as how to calculate and prepare tax returns.• Auditing: Interns learn about the auditing process and how to identify and assess risks.

Able to post transactions in QB for AP
