Opportunity Summary 

The Community Health Promotion Intern will assist the Southern Caregiver Resource Center (SCRC) in promoting its mission of "caring for those who care for others." This non-paid internship offers the opportunity to engage in community outreach and education initiatives throughout San Diego County. Interns will conduct various prevention activities, including community education, outreach services, and information dissemination. This hybrid position allows for flexible remote work and SCRC office locations as needed. It’s an excellent chance to gain hands-on experience while making a positive impact in the community.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

• Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail oriented. • Strong interest in community service, health promotion, and caregiver support. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals in need in the community. • Able to represent the program to clients and the public.

Opportunity Training 

One week of public health community outreach training will be provided.
