College Corps Only Opportunity 

Position Description:
Ecology Action empowers people, businesses, and communities to take simple, measurable actions for environmental sustainability. Fellows will support one or more of the organization’s nine programs, including:

  • EVs for Everyone
  • Safe Routes to Schools
  • Climate Victory Gardens
  • Community Biking
  • Infrastructure & Non-Infrastructure Planning
  • Climate Justice Collaborative

Much of the work in Monterey County involves youth education through school partnerships, teaching bike safety and pedestrian awareness. Fellows may also assist with outreach events and resource distribution across the Central Coast. Training and learning opportunities will be provided.

Work Environment: This internship will be a balance of in-person and virtual work. When appropriate, in-person coordination and supervision may happen at the Ecology Action office in Salinas CA. Our office includes guest desks and conference rooms, kitchens, basic amenities, and safe parking for bicycles available to interns. 

Time Availability: Opportunities are available Monday through Friday, with flexible hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. Evening events can be arranged, as well as potential events on Saturday and Sunday.

Opportunity Training 

Candidates will be part of our training program orientation onboarding process candidates will also have access to their mentor 24/7 along with weekly meetings, 

  • Community outreach training will be provided 
  • Guest speaking Training 
  • Email outreach training 
  • Bike safe program training and more
