College Corps Opportunity Only

Position Description:
Fellows will support the Edible Education Coordinator with cooking demos, food navigation activities, and educational games at the kids’ table. They will also assist Market Program Managers with customer support at farmers’ markets—including managing SNAP (CalFresh), Market Match, and Produce Prescription token exchanges. Fellows may also help with produce packing and distribution, vendor interviews, community outreach, and social media content creation.

Desired Skills & Interests:

  • Customer service and community engagement

  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred; other languages welcome

  • Interest in food justice, nutrition, or early childhood education

Time Availability:
Flexible shifts available Sunday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (some markets start early in the day and some markets end late in the afternoon)

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

SUPERVISION: Students may be required to work at night (after 6pm). Or, students may be supervised less than 50% of the time or the supervisor will be overseeing more than 8 people.,

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Students may be required to lift heavy items over 25 lbs or be potentially exposed to certain environmental conditions such as extreme weather, wearing protective gear, or applying sunscreen.
