Position description & tasks: intern has an expectancy to follow and observe all license Group facilitators, take notes and document the groups alongside supervision. Group facilitators are licensed clinicians either ACSW, LMFT or Radt, CADC1.
Intern will be expected to also show up on time of scheduling and communicate with the Clinical Director and Therapist about group planning for the day.
Intern will be responsible for group interaction and narrative documentation, this includes clients responses and Goals for the group during a 1 hour session. Under supervision Intern will also observe the outcomes measures assessments and document any noticeable changes in each chart. I have added a job description for all contracted group facilitators that we have used as a guide for our interns. These job descriptions are altered due to the intern not having a license and will be overseen by the above mentioned licenses.
Training: All clinicians that supervise the Intern will be meeting before each group and give the intern 1 hour after the group for insight and overview of how to document and how to assess each client participation in the group. Intern will also be involved in a clinical meeting that happens each week to go over what group topics will be appropriate and how to incorporate them into our group schedule. One on One training and documentation will be the most important to each intern as well as the \\shadowing approach\\ This Shadowing approach is performed by a Group facilitator running the group and Intern will follow along and document all interactions with clients. Group facilitator will allow the Shadowing intern to give feedback and interaction to clients.
