Opportunity Summary 

The student will work with severely mentally ill clients at the Enrichment Center drop-in center or CAIP Crisis Unit providing supportive services such as individual coaching, outreach, or supportive services.

Tasks:

Duties include linking or referring clients to community resources or agencies, providing outreach and engagement to individuals at our drop-in center or in the community, and assisting clients in accessing resources and services.

Training:

Meet weekly with a program supervisor / agency manager to review activities and be provided coaching/mentoring. Be given shadowing for many activities such as outreach. Take offered online trainings provided by our agency for case managers.

Learning Outcome:

1. Do outreach or support to mentally ill adults.
2. Do outreach or support to mentally ill adults who are homeless.
3. Assist mentally ill adults access community resources such as non-profit agencies, Dept. Social Services, food banks, etc.
