Position Overview:
The Church Administrator Intern will support the daily operations and ministry functions of New Life Apostolic Worship Center. This role offers hands-on experience in church administration while allowing the intern to contribute to the mission and vision of the church. The intern will work closely with leadership and ministry teams to support administrative tasks, assist with the Education Department, and help coordinate community outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Administrative Support:

        • Assist with organizing church records, communications, and scheduling

        • Help prepare documents, flyers, and promotional materials

        • Support general office duties (answering phones, emails, filing, etc.)

    • Education Department:

        • Help with Sunday School or Bible study materials and preparation

        • Assist in organizing classes, events, and curriculum schedules

        • Support the tracking of attendance and student engagement

    • Community Outreach:

        • Assist with planning and executing outreach events and initiatives

        • Help manage outreach materials and volunteer coordination

        • Support communication with local partners and community members

Qualifications:

    • Must be currently enrolled in a student internship or volunteer hours program

    • Strong communication and organizational skills

    • A heart for ministry and willingness to serve others

    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and digital tools

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Training:

To support the student in achieving the learning outcomes, New Life Apostolic Worship Center will provide the following training and guidance throughout the internship:

General Orientation (Mandatory):
The internship will begin with an orientation session to introduce the student to the church’s mission, values, structure, safety protocols, and expectations. This will also include a tour of the facility and introductions to key staff members.

Weekly One-on-One Mentor Meetings:
The student will meet weekly with a designated supervisor or ministry leader for mentorship, guidance, and reflection on experiences. These meetings will provide feedback, answer questions, and support professional and spiritual development.

Job Shadowing:
The intern will have opportunities to shadow staff members in various departments (Administration, Education, and Community Outreach) to observe and learn about ministry practices and leadership roles in a hands-on context.

Task Contextualization & Skills Training:
Prior to being assigned key responsibilities, the student will receive a clear overview and step-by-step instruction on each task, ensuring understanding of purpose, process, and expected outcomes. This may include demonstrations or written guidelines.

Practical Work Samples & Resource Materials:
The student will be provided with sample materials, templates, and access to internal resources (e.g., planning forms, lesson outlines) to support their assigned work and help them build practical skills.
