Opportunity Summary 

Kalico Queen Boutique is seeking a Fashion Design, Marketing & E-Commerce Intern to support our growing brand. This internship offers hands-on experience in fashion design, branding, social media, and online retail. The intern will manage our website and social platforms, helping to create and schedule content that reflects the edgy, Western-inspired Kalico Queen aesthetic. Responsibilities include updating product listings, planning pop-up events, engaging with followers, and tracking analytics to boost sales. This internship is flexible with both remote and in-person opportunities for content and product creation. It’s a unique chance to build a fashion portfolio while contributing to a one-of-a-kind boutique brand.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

By the end of their internship with Kalico Queen Boutique, the intern will gain hands-on experience in the full cycle of fashion product development and marketing. They will learn how to design and create unique, custom fashion accessories, and how to style and produce content that showcases each product’s story. The intern will gain skills in managing social media platforms, growing a targeted audience, and driving engagement and sales. They will also learn how to add and manage products on the company website, track online traffic and sales trends, and apply that data to future product planning. Additionally, they will help design and prepare items for pop-up shops, gaining insight into merchandising, in-person sales, and customer interaction. This internship provides real-world experience in fashion branding, e-commerce, and entrepreneurial growth—ideal for a fashion student eager to blend creativity with business.

Opportunity Training 

Yes, training will be provided regarding expectations and responsibilities with project creations, photographs, content posting, assistance with posting materials on the website and organizing and assisting with pop-up events.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

The student will be working with a heat press and sewing machine when onsite. She will be thoroughly trained regarding safety protocols and expectations.
