Opportunity Summary 

Too Geek’d Marketing is a woman-owned marketing company that helps introverted and energy-conscious women in wellness show up with confidence online and in person. We’re looking for a creative, self-motivated intern to support our summer campaigns through content planning, video editing, and digital design. As a Marketing & Content Intern you'll gain hands-on experience creating Canva graphics, supporting content planning & visibility campaigns, editing and repurposing video clips, along with conducting research on trends and aligned collaborators. You'll also assist during 2–3 filming sessions with behind-the-scenes or light production support. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s passionate about marketing, digital media, wellness, and building genuine connections through content. You’ll work closely with the founder to contribute to real client-facing projects, gaining exposure to both strategy and execution—while building your creative portfolio in a collaborative, mission-driven environment that values ease, authenticity, and innovation.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

By the end of this internship, students will have gained both practical marketing skills and a deeper understanding of how to create meaningful, values-driven content in a small business setting. They will leave with: Technical & Creative Skills - Experience designing graphics and branded visuals in Canva using real client content - Knowledge of short-form video editing and repurposing for social media platforms - Content planning techniques including idea generation, audience alignment, and scheduling tools Strategic Thinking & Marketing Fundamentals: - Understanding of how to create campaigns that feel authentic and aligned to a brand voice - How to balance creativity with consistency and purpose in marketing - Insight into brand positioning and what it means to build visibility in niche markets (specifically wellness and women-owned businesses) Professional & Personal Growth: - Firsthand experience contributing to a mission-driven, woman-owned small business - Confidence in applying creative skills to client-facing projects - A deeper appreciation for collaborative, energy-conscious approaches to marketing and entrepreneurship This internship is designed to be a well-rounded learning experience that prepares students for creative roles in social media, brand strategy, content creation, or even starting their own business someday.

Opportunity Training 

Students will receive onboarding and ongoing training to ensure they feel confident and supported in their role. This includes: Initial onboarding (1–2 hours): Overview of Too Geek’d Marketing’s mission, brand voice, and visual guidelines, plus a walkthrough of current content systems and workflows. Tool-specific training (4–6 hours total, spread out across first two weeks): - Canva Pro for branded content creation - Descript for video editing and transcription - Ecamm Live for capturing and repurposing live or recorded content - Several AI tools (e.g. for brainstorming, caption writing, or repurposing content) to enhance efficiency and creativity Ongoing mentorship & feedback: Weekly check-ins (30–60 minutes) and real-time feedback as needed to support skill development, answer questions, and ensure clarity on tasks. No mandated reporter training is required, as students will not be working with minors or other vulnerable populations. This training is designed to equip the student with tools they can use well beyond the internship, whether pursuing creative marketing roles or launching their own ventures in the future.
