Opportunity Summary 

  • Conduct market research and analyze local real estate trends to support acquisition and development strategies
  • Support due diligence efforts, including property records, zoning data, etc.
  • Maintain and update CRM databases, tracking property performance, and potential leads
  • Help coordinate site visits, broker meetings, and internal presentations
  • Creating and managing marketing content, including social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional materials to support property listings and brand visibility
  • Market research and Analysis: conduct local market research on laguna beach neighborhoods, sales trends, and pricing strategies. Analyze comparable property data to support listing price recommendations.
  • Listing Prep Support: assist in the preparation of new listings, including compiling property data, organizing professional photography, and drafting property descriptions. Help with entering and updating listings on MLS and other platforms
  • Marketing and Content Creation: Develop content for social media platforms, email campaigns, and brochures/flyers to promote current listings and brand awareness.
  • Client Interaction and Communication: Attend client meetings, showings, and open houses alongside licensed agents to observe and support the client experience. Prepare client ready presentations, neighborhood reports, or property tour packets.
  • CRM and database management: Input and manage client and property data in the CRM software. Track leads, schedule follow-ups, and help maintain a consistent outreach strategy.

Training:

  • Interns will participate in a comprehensive orientation during their first week. This session introduces the company's mission, core values, brand positioning in the Laguna Beach residential market, and an overview of daily operations and expectations.
  • Interns will work in the office 3-4 days a week, meeting with mentor's one-on-one at least once a week. They will review progress, ask questions, and receive feedback on assignments such as property research, marketing efforts, and client interactions.
  • Interns will receive instruction in the use of customer relationship management (CRM) systems, social media scheduling tools, and listing platforms (MLS) helping them support day to day operations and marketing strategies.
  • Students will have the opportunity to shadow real estate professionals during showings, open houses, and client meetings to gain firsthand experience in luxury residential transactions and client service.
  • Supervisors will provide informal feedback regularly, and a formal evaluation will be conducted at the end of the internship to assess skills gained and provide guidance for future professional development.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to communicate effectively with brokers, property managers, and internal team members in a professional setting. They will also be able to analyze residential real estate market trends in coastal areas like Laguna Beach, including pricing, inventory, and buyer behavior. They will be able to assist in preparing and marketing luxury home listings, including photo/video content, social media posts, and listing descriptions. Lastly, they will be able to support open house coordination and gain exposure to client interaction and the home buying process.
