Organization Description

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore REU in Marine and Estuarine Science ten-week summer internships to undergraduates interested in Marine and Estuarine Sciences. With the assistance of faculty mentors, program staff and graduate students, interns conduct research projects, take field trips, and attend seminars and workshops related to science careers. Interns benefit from instruction in topics such as scientific ethics, library resources for research, experimental design and data analysis, and scientific writing and communication. Interns present their research to their peers and mentors at a symposium.

Health & Safety

Interns may work with chemicals in the university laboratory. All interns are required to complete university chemical safety training prior to beginning work in the laboratory and are supervised.
