Opportunity Summary 

Friends of Fieldworkers is a small nonprofit serving the farmworker community. We are an organization with 2 staff members, dedicated Board of Directors, and many volunteers. Our programs include: Emergency Funds, Laundry Love, Farm Visits, and Scholarships. Additionally, we have been increasing our volunteer efforts to participate in drives and distributions of food, essential items, warm meals, and diapers. We are also in need of support in supporting administrative duties. We are open to evaluation of the effectiveness of our programs.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Take lead to organize volunteers and carry out programming. Gain an understanding as to what it takes to run a nonprofit organization via hands on learning with staff and interactions with farmworker families.

Opportunity Training 

All training will be provided by current staff members and Board Members.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Friends of Fieldworkers works with a very vulnerable population. Non-Disclosure agreements may need to be signed.
