Opportunity Summary 

We’re looking for a creative, outside-the-box thinker who’s eager to learn what actually drives sales and engagement on social. This isn’t just about making pretty posts—it’s about understanding the strategy behind content that grows a brand and brings in revenue. You’ll get hands-on experience with the tools, tactics, and behind-the-scenes moves that make social media a true driver of business growth.

Students will engage in professional-level marketing and social media work that connects directly to business growth.

Tasks include:

\n

  • Learning and applying the strategy behind content that not only grabs attention but also nurtures long-term engagement and buyer readiness—understanding how to “plant seeds” through consistent, strategic posting that builds trust and leads to eventual sales
  • \n

  • Assisting in building and refining sales funnels designed to increase customer conversions
  • \n

  • Implementing lead generation strategies, including opt-in forms, landing pages, and downloadable lead magnets
  • \n

  • Tracking and analyzing content performance using Instagram/Facebook Insights and other analytics tools to make data-informed marketing decisions
  • \n

  • Participating in A/B testing on messaging, visuals, and calls-to-action to better understand audience behavior
  • \n

  • Researching competitors and current trends to help guide content direction and brand positioning
  • \n

  • Collaborating directly with the founder to brainstorm campaign ideas, evaluate performance, and adjust strategy accordingly
  • \n

  • Developing and managing a content calendar for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook with intentional planning tied to storytelling and growth goals
  • \n

  • Writing and designing branded posts, stories, and Reels using Canva and other creative tools
  • \n

  • Assisting with influencer outreach and community engagement to grow brand visibility and reach
  • \n

  • These tasks provide students with hands-on experience in both the strategic and creative sides of marketing, preparing them for future roles in digital marketing, social media strategy, or entrepreneurship.

Training:

\n

Students will begin with a general orientation covering the brand, mission, target audience, and key marketing goals. They will then receive hands-on training in social media strategy, lead generation, and content creation through scheduled one-on-one virtual meetings with the founder 1–2 times per week. These sessions will include screen-sharing walkthroughs of tools like Canva, Instagram Insights, and Meta Business Suite.

\n

The student will also complete a series of online courses (paid for by the company) on topics such as social media strategy, sales funnels, and digital advertising. These are the same trainings the founder used to grow the business and include course materials from Strong Brand Social and similar platforms. Each task assigned will be paired with clear instruction, examples, and feedback to ensure the student understands both the how and the why behind their work.

Learning Outcomes:

\n

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to develop and execute results-driven marketing strategies, create content aligned with brand identity, implement basic lead generation funnels, and analyze engagement data to inform future campaigns. They will gain hands-on experience in how digital marketing directly supports sales and growth within a real business—skills that are highly transferable to careers in marketing, advertising, entrepreneurship, and brand management.
