Position Descriptions: 

Set up a volunteer waiver system, expand our social media outreach, assist in organizing and supervising volunteer events several times per month, learn to grow and identify local native wildflowers and food plants, attend public meetings to learn how government works, and how to be a community leader.

Desired Skills and Interest:

  • Interest in social justice, ecology, botany, and sharing wildlife with the public.
  • Computer literacy and the desire to use social media for social and environmental literacy and change.
  • Willingness to engage, organize, and supervise community volunteers in a safe manner.

Hours: 

  • Typically Sat. 8:45am-1:00pm.
  • Thurs. last 2 hours before sunset.
  • Two Sundays per month.
  • Weekdays on their own time for social media and other volunteer coordination.
  • Flexible to students' schedules.

Transportation: 

We can offer transportation to some or all events and could provide an e-bike. Our project locations are within 1-3 miles of CSUMB.
