Organization Description

Accion Latina is a non-profit organization and legacy business in San Francisco's Mission district serving the Latino community through journalism and cultural arts. The organization publishes El Tecolote, a bilingual, bimonthly newspaper established in 1970. The organization also works with local artists of all mediums and hosts art exhibits in an in-house gallery, produces music concerts, and participates in community events. The organization has the entire archive of El Tecolote (hard copy and digital) and hundreds of posters and documents relating to its cultural work.
