Opportunity Summary 

  • Managing Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
  •  Reconciling Corporate Account (Daily & Monthly)
  • Processing ACH & Share Draft Exceptions & Settlements
  • Assisting the Coordinator with Investment Portfolio Maintenance & Management 
  • Producing Monthly Accounting Reports (Financial Statement, Bank Reconcilement, and Allowance for Loan Losses, etc.) 
  • Performing Tellers' Duties, including but not limited to deposit, loan payments.
  • Assist member service  

Tasks:

Compare the bank's book with the general ledgers to ensure accuracy is recorded. Identify and resolve discrepancies and prepare a reconciliation statement to confirm the correct balance.

Training:

Orientation & Certificates Training. Job shadows with weekly one-on-one mentor meetings. Templates for reconciliation, aging schedules, and reporting.

Learning Outcome:

1. The student will be able to explain the purpose and importance of bank reconciliation in financial control.

2. Identify and resolve discrepancies such as outstanding checks, deposits in transit, bank changes, and errors.

3. Generate reports to support financial decision-making and auditing requirements

4. Record, post, and reconcile invoices, receipts, process payments, and adjustments in compliance with accounting standards.
