Opportunity Summary 

General construction company seeking office administrator & bookkeeper.

Job Responsibilities: Handle administrative and financial tasks to support company’s daily operations.

Job Duties: Manage accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, maintaining financial records, and providing general administrative support. Office administrator/bookkeeper will ensure efficient office operations and accurate financial reporting for construction projects. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, data entry, sort and file. If needed, assist with estimation (take-offs), prepare bid package and related documents.

Skills and Qualifications: Microsoft Office skills, administrative writing skills, verbal and written communication skills. QuickBooks experienced preferred.

Tasks:

  • Project Participation: Collaborate on team projects, contributing ideas, research, and support to achieve project goals. Take responsibility for specific components of the project, from initial planning to execution and evaluation.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data relevant to the industry, using appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Training:

General Employer Orientation (Mandatory): An initial orientation session where students are introduced to the company’s mission, values, policies, and procedures. Familiarization with the workplace environment, including a tour of facilities and an overview of workplace safety protocols.

Job Shadowing: Opportunities for students to shadow experienced professionals across different departments to gain insights into various roles and responsibilities within the organization. Observing day-to-day operations, workflow, and decision-making processes.
