Opportunity Summary 

As an Apartment Dealer Intern, the student will gain comprehensive, hands-on experience in the real estate investment industry, specifically focusing on the sale of multi-family properties. Under the direct supervision of CEO Kris German and the Apartment Dealer team, the intern will be exposed to the complete sales process from beginning to end.

Tasks:

Duties of the Student Intern

1. Property Sales Process Support • Assist in gathering and reviewing property data for multi-family listings. • Observe and participate in the step-by-step process of marketing, negotiating, and closing real estate transactions.

2. Client & Staff Engagement • Attend client meetings alongside mentors to gain exposure to professional communication and relationship-building strategies. • Assist in preparing agendas, notes, and follow-up correspondence for meetings with staff and clients.

3. Market Research & Analysis • Conduct research on local multi-family housing markets, analyzing rental trends, property values, and investment opportunities. • Prepare reports or presentations summarizing findings to support client recommendations and sales strategies.

4. Marketing & Business Development • Assist in creating and editing marketing materials, including brochures, online property listings, and social media content. • Gain experience with lead-generation tools and client outreach methods.

5. Accounting & Financial Support • Assist with reviewing financial documents, budgets, and expense reports related to property transactions. • Gain exposure to basic accounting practices and record-keeping systems used in real estate.

6. Administrative & Documentation Duties • Support the preparation and organization of legal documents, contracts, and compliance forms. • Perform professional administrative tasks such as data entry, document filing, and maintaining client databases.

7. Job Shadowing & Professional Development • Shadow CEO Kris German and other senior staff during negotiations, property tours, and strategy meetings. • Participate in scheduled mentorship sessions to reflect on progress and refine career skills.

Training:

1. General Employer Orientation (Mandatory) • An initial orientation covering company values, expectations, workplace policies, and an overview of the apartment investment industry. • Students will be introduced to the company’s structure, key personnel, and the scope of their role within the organization.

2. One-on-One Mentorship • Weekly scheduled meetings with Kris German or an assigned mentor to discuss progress, challenges, and development goals. • Personalized feedback to reinforce learning and refine professional skills.

3. Job Shadowing • Opportunities to observe Kris German and other senior team members during client meetings, property evaluations, and negotiations. • Direct exposure to real-world real estate practices to bridge theory and application.

4. Workshops and Skills Training • Sessions focusing on practical skills such as real estate market analysis, client communication, property management basics, and sales techniques. • May include role-playing exercises, mock client consultations, and digital marketing training.

5. Provision of Work Samples & Task Contextualization • Students will receive sample contracts, marketing materials, financial reports, and other resources to help contextualize assigned tasks. • Each assignment will be accompanied by an overview explaining its purpose and relevance to broader business objectives.

6. Training Literature & Testing • Access to training manuals, case studies, and curated reading materials to build foundational knowledge. • Occasional knowledge checks or informal testing to ensure understanding of real estate concepts and procedures.

7. Progressive Responsibility • Students will gradually transition from observation to hands-on tasks such as preparing market research, assisting with marketing campaigns, and contributing to client communications. • This phased approach ensures that interns build competence and confidence in line with their development.
