Opportunity Summary 

The Media and Marketing Internship was designed primarily to help students build a portfolio of work for their future careers, develop essential skills in business-focused social media management, and expand their knowledge of marketing and effective online product promotion strategies.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Social media management, Product marketing, Nonprofit fundraising, and working with wildlife

Opportunity Training 

We will train all interns on the various social media platforms we use and how to build posting plans, how to manage negative comments and conflict on social media, tips and tricks for photographing wildlife, and techniques for marketing products for a retail store and online sales. All interns also receive some time with our wolf care team to learn how we care for our animals.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

All interns must be able to work outside for extended periods of time, hiking up and down hills, carrying equipment weighing 20 pounds or more, and be capable of remaining relatively calm in stressful situations
