\u25cf Motivate TK/K-6th grade students through social-emotional learning and
enrichment activities such as STEAM, music, and Lego.
\u25cf Lead lessons designed to increase excitement about learning.
\u25cf Assist with homework completion and snack distribution.
\u25cf Effectively manage student behavior (up to 20 students) with minimal
assistance.
\u25cf Ensure student safety during outdoor activities.
\u25cf Work effectively with staff and embrace professional development.
\u25cf Serve as a positive role model to the students to build kids’ self-esteem and
emotional wellness.
Training:
The training commences during their onboarding process, where they undergo mandatory reporter training and various other training sessions. Additionally, they will participate in three online training sessions daily to enhance their understanding of different topics. Subsequently, they will undergo hands-on training, where they meet in person to gain practical experience and prepare for real-life scenarios. This training continues throughout their job, with weekly check-ins with the manager.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, students will be equipped to teach and motivate students to actively engage in their education and learn through social-emotional learning. They will possess strong behavior management skills, both indoors and outdoors with a group of students. Additionally, they will be able to create and execute lesson plans to the best of their abilities, ensuring effective teaching and demonstration to foster understanding.
