Sustainability UX Intern 2025-2026At — CSUF - Administration and Finance

Under the direction of the Director of Sustainability and Transportation Demand Manager, the Sustainability UX Intern will have an immersive learning experience while forming connections with campus partners throughout Cal State Fullerton. The Intern will be provided training in ATI compliance and CSUF website formatting and then interview, test, and measure user engagement while making a positive impact in environmental, social, and climate justice.

Tasks:

1. Proposing and implementing ATI-compliant recommendations to ensure a positive, equitable, and efficient experience for all University Sustainability website users.
2. Thoughtfully, confidently, and professionally presenting ideas and responding to others' ideas at team meetings.
3. Confidently describe lessons learned through the process of proposing, implementing, and measuring the efficacy of ideas to optimize user experience with the University Sustainability website.

Training:

1. Provide training and background in factors and policies that shape Cal State Fullerton’s sustainability initiatives.
2. Provide CSUF IT training in ATI compliance and CSUF website formatting.
3. Facilitate weekly team meetings to support and guide UX innovation, implementation, testing, and evaluation processes.
4. Conduct one-on-one meetings to support a positive work and learning environment, and to ensure that professional and academic development goals are being met.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Demonstrate competency in ATI compliance.
2. Propose, implement, test, measure, and summarize ideas to optimize user experience with a website.
3. Become an experienced and effective driver of environmental, social, and climate justice initiatives on the CSUF campus.
4. Be better equipped to compete in the emerging \\Green Jobs\\ workforce and effectively communicate sustainability and climate goals, challenges, and initiatives.
