Opportunity Summary
The Latinx Lab Research Intern will support the Latinx Lab Director, Lab Coordinator and Storytelling Assistant with research reports on Latinx Lab programming, project lead gatherings and social media content. Other duties include meeting with Latinx Lab team for planning meetings, event debriefing meetings, document organization, writing and presenting research reports to team and attendance at Latinx Lab events. Opportunities include participation Latinx Lab events.
Learning Outcomes
- articulate in writing and oral presentations a synthesis of the educational purpose and operations of a grant-funded research lab at a four year public university
2. plan, conceptualize and interpret programming outcomes specific to inclusive research and events
3. disseminate and assess educational and informational research findings to multiple audiences
Training
- Onboard with two weeks of training for student intern with our program coordinator to cover our workflow, project management and research in the lab
2. Meet once to twice a week with the student to ensure they are part of the planning and operational functions of lab and provide feedback, direction and guidance on their work
3. Provide continued support and availability in all drafting stages of their writing and research and ensure student understanding programming and audiences
Tasks/Duties
- Complete research reports for programming a week after the event completed
2. Generate an outreach document for the research report in collaboration with our coordinator for social media and other platforms
3. Prepare written and oral presentations prior to our meetings to discuss research reports and outreach documents
