Opportunity Summary 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains a professional attitude at all times.
Treats all School Admin, Supervisors, peers and children with dignity and respect.
Greets parents and children with salutations and smiles.
Assist in program planning/lesson planning.
Report any safety concerns to designated personnel.
Prepare written reports as required.
Maintain program supplies and materials.
Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
Helps to maintain a neat and organized classroom.
Supervises and actively engages with student activities to ensure safety at all times.
Reports to the Director any problem which may occur with the children.
Participates in snack distribution
Participates in dismissal procedures at the end of day, ensuring that each child leaves with the appropriate adult.
Participates in recommended training programs and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practice.
Perform other duties as assigned by the site coordinator or program director.

Tasks:

Shadow staff during lesson planning, then contribute one or two activity ideas.
Assist in setting up and organizing classroom materials before activities.
Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and engagement.
Distribute snacks and monitor cleanup routines.
Support dismissal by helping match children with their designated adults.
Report any concerns about safety, behavior, or program materials to the site coordinator.
Keep written notes or reflections on daily experiences and what was learned.
Participate in staff meetings and training session, taking notes on key practices.
Assist with special projects (holiday events, crafts, tutoring, or enrichment activities).
Assist students with homework completion

Assist in maintaining classroom organization and program supplies.
