SoCal External Affairs InternAt — Governor's Office
The Governor’s Office seeks an External Affairs Intern for the San Diego regional office. The External Affairs intern will assist in serving the regions of San Diego, Orange County, and Imperial County, and aid in the outreach efforts of the Governor’s Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic thinker with a passion for public service and a strong understanding of state government. Responsibilities: Draft meeting briefs and project memos. Support the External Affairs team in cultivating relationships with stakeholders, including local electeds, community based organizations, and other regional leaders. Participate in stakeholder events and forums. Support meetings, roundtables, and other convenings within the region that the Governor’s Office is leading or assisting. Assist in the development of newsletters and other regional updates for stakeholders. Monitor local media and pertinent current events in the region. Carry out administrative tasks and other duties.
