Opportunity Summary 

As a Cybersecurity Engineering Intern at Vasquez Security Consulting, you'll gain hands-on experience by assisting with critical cybersecurity operations and compliance efforts. Under the guidance of senior team members , you will perform vulnerability scanning, develop policies, and conduct risk assessments. This internship provides a unique opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned to support cybersecurity operations and compliance efforts. They will have gained hands-on experience with industry tools and frameworks such as Tenable, Vanta, and NIST SP 800-53.

Opportunity Training 

Training for the student to perform the responsibilities will be gained through hands-on experience under the guidance of senior team members. The internship is designed for the student to gain experience through utilizing industry tools and frameworks.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

VasSecCo safety measures are typical for a standard office building setting. In 2014, our offices had a safety / ADA inspection, and was approved, by Orange County Workforce Solutions
