Organization Description EES provides high-quality, affordable, early childhood education to over 1,300 students per year at our 19 schools located in Chula Vista, Linda Vista, and Vista. All of our schools feature an instructional practice that is culturally and linguistically tailored to meet the social, emotional, physical and educational needs of each individual student
EES is a nonprofit child development agency that has provided high-quality early education programs to families throughout San Diego County since 1979. Our families are income eligible (under state median income). We offer both part day programs for those families that are income eligible and full day services for those families that are income eligible and family has a "need" for service (working, looking for work, in school, CPS, Foster care, homelessness)
Program Information Through mentorship, hands-on training, and collaboration with educational institutions. EES provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop foundational skills in child development, classroom management, and early learning best practices. This experience not only enhances the students' readiness for future careers in early education but also contributes to a well-prepared, diverse, and passionate early childhood workforce.

What training will be provided to students to perform these responsibilities?
EES provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop foundational skills in child development, classroom management, and early learning best practices.
How will you provide ongoing support and supervision to students?
Students are not allowed to be alone with our young children. EES site staff will meet with students to maintain continuous mentorship with students to support their academic progress and career development. Often times, someone from the college conducts an observational visit.
POPULATION SERVED:
EES serves children ages 0–5 and recognizes that young children may sometimes act out due to frustration. When appropriate, EES collaborates with parents and provides referrals to external agencies for additional support.
College students are never left alone with children and an orientation will be provided.
