CELPS @ LBFAt — Long Beach Forward
Community Engaged Learning Program Students at LBF CELPS will have the opportunity to learn about various aspects of community organizing at a grass roots, community based non-profit organization. This opportunity is flexible and largely self initiated. The opportunities are designed to offer both hands on and "osmosis" learning by being present with our staff and community members.
Civic activism, administration, community organizing, local government, non-profit business, community health, social justice.
Students will receive an hour long orientation. Students can request individualized training for civic engagement and community organizing skills.
We have a digital key and alarm system, emergency response plans, violence prevention plans, detailed reporting procedures, and community safety plans.
