Organization Description

The California Elder Justice Coalition (CEJC) is a multidisciplinary membership organization providing a voice from the field in elder justice policy and practice. Our organization promotes the rights of older adults, including protection against age-based discrimination and elder abuse, and equitable access to resources, health care, victim services, and the legal system, for those in greatest need

Program Information

Researching the role of regional centers in protecting the rights of conservatees in California including compiling a literature review for the AB1194 research study CEJC is doing in contract with the Judicial Council of California. Researching key partners and opportunities for systems-level advocacy for the under-addressed elder and disabled adult abuse of benefits trafficking or other under-addressed abuse in unlicensed room and board homes, especially in remote or rural geographic areas. Identify potential partners for elder justice collaboration in remote geographical areas of California that lack resources and services for older and disabled adults.
