Physical Therapy AideAt — Advanced Physical Therapy

To help and assist Physical therapist with patient exercises. 

Tasks:

Take patient through exercises, cleaning of equipment and treatment tools. Make home exercise sheets for patients. Be able to take patients through their exercise program. Know proper preparation of modalities and parameters.

Training:

Daily communication with therapist about exercises prescribed to the patient.
Teach proper mechanics of exercises so that aide can teach patient how to perform at home.
Teach aide how to make a home exercise sheet.

Learning Outcome:

Identify muscles and function
Learn proper mechanics of exercises
Learn proper lifting/carrying techniques of patients
