Teacher's Aide (Infant, Toddler, Preschool)At — Beach Babies, LLC
A Teacher’s Aide is responsible for working with children ages 6 weeks – 6 years old under the guidance and direct supervision of a Teacher. Teacher’s Aides are expected to be actively involved with children on consistent basis while honoring Beach Babies philosophy “to give infants and children plenty of love and security so they will thrive”. The duties of a Teacher’s Aide include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Classroom Duties
- Diaper Changing & Potty Training
- Daily Cleaning & Sanitizing of Classroom & Toys
- Paperwork & Documentation
- Communicate Professionally with Families, Staff, & Management
- Maintain Constant Supervision & Head Count
- Maintain Beach Babies & State Required Ratios
- Use Only Beach Babies Approved Discipline Techniques & Appropriate Tone of Voice
- Ensure the Classroom Runs on Schedule, Including Lessons, Feedings, Diaper Changes, etc.
- Kitchen Duties: Preparing Food, Washing Dishes, etc.
- Physical Duties
- Lifting Up to 50lbs.
- Full Range of Motion (Kneeling, Bending, Twisting, Running, Raising Hands & Arms Above Head)
- Professional Duties
- Attend All Mandatory Staff Meetings
- Maintain Above Average Attendance & Punctuality
- Maintain Confidentiality
- Maintain a Positive & Professional Disposition
- Be Flexible to Work in Any Classroom at Any Location Affiliated with Beach Babies.
Work as a Team with All Employees & Management
Training:
- Orientation and Onboarding:
- Interns will participate in a thorough orientation session to familiarize themselves with the organization's mission, policies, procedures, and expectations.
- They will receive an introduction to the classroom environment, curriculum frameworks, daily routines, and health and safety protocols.
- Mentorship and Supervision:
- Each intern will be paired with an experienced mentor teacher who will provide guidance, support, and feedback throughout the internship.
- Regular supervision meetings will be scheduled to discuss progress, set goals, address challenges, and provide opportunities for reflection and growth.
- Hands-on Experience:
- Interns will have the opportunity to actively engage in all aspects of classroom teaching and management under the guidance of their mentor teacher.
- They will assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, observing and assessing children's progress, and facilitating positive social interactions and learning experiences.
- Workshops and Professional Development:
- Interns will participate in a series of workshops and training sessions covering topics such as child development, curriculum planning, behavior management, communication skills, and cultural competence.
- These sessions will be facilitated by experienced educators, guest speakers, and professionals in the field of early childhood education.
- Observation and Feedback:
- Interns will have the opportunity to observe experienced teachers in action, both within their own classroom and in other age groups or programs within the organization.
- Feedback will be provided on observations, lesson plans, interactions with children and families, and overall performance to support continuous improvement.
