Program Information Opportunity Summary
Service learning with Catalyst Kids offers the chance to engage directly with children in safe and supportive environments. As a student, you gain hands-on experience by helping staff in before and after school programs, summer camps, and enrichment activities that encourage creativity, play, and learning. This experience goes beyond volunteering because it allows you to apply what you are learning in your courses to real situations with children. By working with kids, you practice communication, patience, and leadership while supporting their growth in academics, social skills, and overall well-being. Catalyst Kids emphasizes the importance of building positive relationships, fostering curiosity, and creating inclusive spaces for all children. Through this service learning, you not only contribute to the community but also gain valuable insight into child development and education. It is a meaningful way to connect classroom knowledge with real-world impact while supporting the needs of families.

They will develop stronger communication and leadership skills while practicing patience, empathy, and problem-solving. Students will also gain a deeper understanding of child development by observing how children learn, interact, and grow in social and educational environments.
