Community Service/ Volunteer & Service LearningAt — South Central United

Volunteers and service-learning students will help at our food giveaways events, which will consist of helping unload the food that comes in pallets and separate them. Then they will help pack food into bags and hand them out to community members. After, they will help clean up any cardboard boxes left so that we leave the space clean. Students will be given tasks on an “as needed” basis, meaning if there are any other community service events we will ask students to help. 

Students will be given orientation and training upon arrival. A designated supervisor or mentor will guide students through all initial tasks and provide clear instructions.
