This internship with Bestfriend Content Co. offers hands-on experience in the fast-growing field of wedding and event content creation. Interns will gain skills in short-form video production, social media strategy, and client communication, all within the dynamic Southern California wedding industry. As a small, woman-owned business, we provide a collaborative environment where creativity and initiative are valued. Interns will work alongside the founder to capture behind-the-scenes wedding content, edit for social media platforms, and contribute to marketing efforts that support venues, vendors, and couples. This opportunity is ideal for students seeking real-world experience in digital media, wedding and event industries, or small business operations. Interns will leave with a professional portfolio of work, stronger technical skills, and meaningful insight into how creativity, marketing, and entrepreneurship intersect to serve both clients and community.
By the end of this internship, students will gain hands-on skills in smartphone cinematography, live event coverage, and short-form video editing tailored for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok. They will learn how to capture content that feels authentic and engaging, edit with precision, and adapt visuals and captions to different audiences including couples, venues, and vendors. Students will also strengthen their understanding of storytelling, brand voice, social media strategy, and analytics. Beyond creative skills, they will develop professionalism in client communication, project organization, and delivery workflows, while also gaining valuable insight into small business operations within the wedding industry.
The student will be working with me and other wedding vendor professionals, and therefore, no first aid/mandated reporter or such related training is required. Instead, they will receive comprehensive one-on-one mentorship training to suit their exact goals of what they want to get out of the internship.
Student will be working with their phone and a laptop. There are no accesibility limits for this internship.
