InternAt — SoCal Therapyworks, A Marriage and Family Therapy Corporation
The Undergraduate Intern will receive professional and academic mentorship from experienced providers across the field, gaining exposure to a variety of therapeutic approaches and interventions. Interns have the opportunity to attend staff trainings focused on different theories and techniques, as well as gain insider knowledge about the multiple facets of day-to-day operations involved in running a therapy group practice. This is mostly remote. There may be opportunities to help with community events.
By the end of the internship, students may acquire a range of knowledge and skills, including an understanding of various therapeutic theories and interventions, practical insights into the day-to-day operations of a therapy group practice, and familiarity with professional workflows and administrative processes. They may also develop skills in observing clinical practices, participating in staff trainings, and applying foundational concepts from their academic studies to real-world settings, enhancing both their professional competence and readiness for future roles in mental health care and working with a variety of populations.
Interns will receive initial training. They will NOT be in any role where they are mandated reports.
Student may be subject to hearing about trauma cases.
