Opportunity Summary 

The Life Connection Program (LCP) supports overburdened families who, due to unforeseen circumstances, are at risk of food insecurity, domestic violence, substance use disorder, and mental health challenges. Under the supervision of a chaplain, LCP specialists provide resources, information, and referrals in areas such as mental health support, childcare, substance abuse treatment, education, employment training, income support, transportation, pregnancy and health needs, safety, and nutrition.

2 Service Learner Spots

As part of this program, students learn and assist in spiritual care, cultural sensitivity, and compassionate presence. They receive training in communication and listening skills, crisis intervention, grief support, and guidance on ethics and values. This experience offers a valuable opportunity to support individuals and families during times of need while developing leadership, empathy, resilience, and cultural awareness.
