Social Media Marketing InternAt — First Placement Services
First Placement Services is a growing recruitment agency dedicated to connecting top talent with leading companies across various industries. We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to support our online presence and help grow our brand across digital platforms.
Tasks:
Throughout the internship, the Social Media Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting with the creation and management of content across the agency’s social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Tasks will include brainstorming and drafting engaging posts, sourcing or designing visuals, and scheduling content in alignment with the agency’s branding and marketing calendar. The intern will also monitor social media accounts for engagement, respond to comments and messages professionally, and flag any inquiries to the appropriate team members. Additionally, they will help track key performance metrics such as reach, engagement, and follower growth, providing weekly insights and suggestions for improvement. As part of campaign support, the intern may also assist in promoting job openings, spotlighting client partnerships, and showcasing company culture to attract both candidates and clients. Collaboration with the marketing and recruiting teams will be essential to ensure content aligns with current hiring needs and business goals.
Training:
As part of the onboarding process, the Social Media Marketing Intern will receive structured training designed to build both technical skills and industry knowledge. The internship will begin with an orientation covering the agency’s brand voice, target audience, and overall marketing strategy. During the first week, the intern will be introduced to the primary social media platforms used by the agency, as well as key tools such as Canva, scheduling software, and basic analytics dashboards. Under the guidance of the team, the intern will shadow content planning sessions, learn how to draft engaging posts, and receive feedback on their work. As the internship progresses, the intern will take on more independent tasks, such as scheduling content, tracking performance metrics, and contributing creative ideas to campaigns. Ongoing mentorship and weekly check-ins will ensure the intern is supported and continuously learning throughout the experience.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, this student will be able to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing for a growing agency, exposure to staffing and recruitment trends, and portfolio building content.
