Elevate 831 (Night Market 831)
Elevate 831 is a community-focused organization uplifting the Monterey Bay area through creative events and collaboration. Our signature event, Night Market 831, is a free, family-friendly market held the first Friday of every month at the Sand City Art Park (525 Ortiz Ave). It’s a welcoming space where people from all backgrounds come together to enjoy live music, local food, and art. With low vendor fees, the market provides an accessible platform for local entrepreneurs, artists, and nonprofits to showcase their work and celebrate community under the lights.
Participation in Night Market 831 involves certain inherent risks associated with outdoor, evening community events. Activities may include moderate lifting and handling of event materials such as tables, tents, or signage, which require proper lifting techniques and the use of closed-toe shoes to prevent injury. The event site, Sand City Art Park, operates after dark and may include uneven surfaces and areas with limited lighting, increasing the potential for slips, trips, or falls. Participants should remain alert to their surroundings, safeguard personal belongings, and take appropriate precautions when moving through dimly lit or crowded areas. While supervisors from Elevate 831 will be on-site, continuous direct supervision cannot be guaranteed due to the event’s size and multiple activity zones. Participants are expected to follow all safety instructions, exercise sound judgment, and conduct themselves responsibly at all times.
