Opportunity Summary 

This opportunity offers students hands-on experience in event planning, marketing, and community engagement within Southern California’s exciting automotive and lifestyle culture. Students will take part in outreach efforts, assist professionals, create marketing content, and help organize large-scale events that combine drifting competitions, car shows, vendors, and live entertainment. By working alongside industry professionals, students will gain exposure to marketing strategies, customer service, and event coordination while building real-world skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership. This is a dynamic, fast-paced opportunity that blends creativity with professional growth.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will have developed practical skills in marketing content creation, event planning, and customer engagement. They will gain confidence in professional communication, teamwork, and project organization while observing and assisting industry professionals. They will also learn how to adapt in fast-paced environments, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build meaningful industry connections.

Opportunity Training 

Students will receive an initial orientation (2–3 hours) to introduce them to our organization, safety protocols, and expectations. Following this, they will participate in hands-on training sessions tailored to their specific roles, including: Outreach & Customer Service: Role-playing exercises and guided practice in communication, public engagement, and professionalism (2–4 hours). Marketing Content Creation: Workshops on branding, social media strategies, and content development, with ongoing feedback from supervisors (4–6 hours). Event Planning & Organization: Step-by-step guidance on project management, scheduling, and vendor coordination (3–5 hours).

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students will receive safety training prior to participation. All must follow event protocols, remain in designated areas during live automotive activities, and wear proper identification. Supervisors will provide oversight to ensure a safe, professional environment at all times.
