CSUS - Sac State Speech and Debate Team

The speech and debate team at Sacramento State is campus based organization (not a student club) and is supported by the university's Instructionally Related Activities fund. This means that participation on the speech and debate team also involves classwork and is designed to provide students with training in critical thinking, research and presentational skills through competition in intercollegiate speech and debate. Sacramento State has been competing in intercollegiate speech and debate since at least the 1970's (we are still trying to find the full history!) and had success in various formats over the years.
