Embark on your journey as a Part-Time Fulfillment Specialist, where you'll take charge of delivering excellence by replenishing inventory solutions and managing our industry leading vending program. From making deliveries, to performing replenishments of our managed inventory programs, and maintaining equipment, you'll be at the forefront of our innovative solutions.

Tasks:

The intern will look at the scope of each project. Create an outline of tasks that needs to be completed in order to accomplish desired goals. Web based trainings and hands on training will be provided by General Manager, Branch Ops Manager and assigned Mentor. The final presentation will include before and after photos and/or description of current process vs. future process, and presentation to District Manager, General Manager, Branch Ops Manager and assigned Mentor.

Training:

As a Fulfillment Specialist at Fastenal, this student will gain hands-on experience in logistics, customer service, and inventory management within a fast-paced industrial supply environment. This internship offers an opportunity to explore the operational side of supply chain solutions while developing professional skills that are highly valued across industries. These trainings include:
Virtual instructor led
Inventory replenishment and management
Customer service and relationship building
Route planning and delivery systems

Learning Outcome:

Intern will participate in 3 projects that will be implemented within the fulfillment center. Trainings will include web based and in person-hands on. Intern will work with General Manager, Branch Ops Manager and Mentor. The projects will be centered around a sales environment with tasking that includes VMI optimization, inventory management, deliveries, and closing an invoice. The idea is to create efficient systems around these activities.
