Assist the homeroom teacher in teaching small group lessons in person.

Also, help with classroom management, assessments, and record keeping.

Tasks:

-Design and teach small group daily & weekly lesson plans and after approval.
-Create, get approved, and implement a new, positive behavior support classroom management plan
-Teach a small group for two hours every day in two subjects Math and ELA/Social Studies
plan
-create and maintain student portfolios

Training:

Employer Orientation
Shadowing a homeroom teacher
One on One Meeting with mentor teacher
Participation in Faculty Meetings

Learning outcome:

-Plan a lesson based on standards
-Teach an engaging lesson in a general classroom
-keep records for student attendance and student grades
-keep students on task by implementing best practices of classroom management.
